In the early summer of 2016 I had the opportunity to ride my restored. 1957 Pontiac Safari Chiefton from on the former Canadian National Railroad branch. We started on the southern end in Matapedia, Quebec and made a two day trip to the end of the line in Gaspe. The one way trip was approximately 230 miles. We were graciously invited to leave the Pontiac at the (now closed) Restigoush Motel for the summer and took the VIA Ocean back to Montreal and flew home.
